Our guide will pick you up at your hotel in Hanoi at around 8:30 (or 13:30) and you will thence transfer to the Red River's island by taxi or car before we start the half-day walking tour.
We’ll start the trip by walking at the Red River pottery market in northwest of the Red River’s island, where ceramics are stacked waiting to be taken into Hanoi by bicycle. The route also takes you past the Red River’s floating houses and fields of colorful flowers, waiting to be picked and taken into Hanoi.
Continuing the trip, we will walk following the path along the island (7 Km) of the Red River through beautiful banana forests, kumquat gardens, papaya gardens, vegetable gardens … on the Red River’s island and a beautiful sand-bank along the island of Red River, which is the best place to take some extraordinary photo of the green fields and the working farmers. You will have a great opportunities for beautiful landscape photos with vegetables gardens and thatched houses…
Keep on walking you will see smiling faces of local farmers, working on the gardens. You can have chat with them to learn more about their lives and work… Afterwards, you will have a short break at a farmer family when you get your mind refreshed by our Vietnamese’s traditional green-tea, local fruit, cake…
Continuing the trip, we will on the back road along the Red River banks until we meet LongBien Bridge. Afterwards we’ll get on the bridge and pass the Red River on Hanoi’s legendary LongBien Bridge, built by the famous Eiffel construction company at the beginning of 20th century.
We keep on walking on the Long Bien Bridge to get back. Take a taxi or car to return to your hotel at: 12:00 (or 16:30). Tour ends.
