Day 1: Hanoi – Mai Chau Valley – Thai tribe village
Our driver and tour guide pick you up at your hotel in Hanoi Old Quarter to transfer for Mai Chau: a small town nestled in the midst of a lush valley and it is in an amazing setting in a valley with rice paddy’s all around. On the way, enjoy a peaceful countryside landscape with streams, rice paddies, vegetables gardens.... and you can stop several times to take pictures and to admire the beauty of Vietnam.
Before arrive at Mai Chau valley several kilometres, from the top of the Thung Khe mountain pass, you can admire the superb panorama of Mai Chau valley. Then continue to a restaurant and homestay for refreshment and have lunch. We have prepared a special traditional lunch with special foods of Mai Chau.
After having lunch, check in homestay for relaxing, then trekking and biking through terraced rice paddies fields and small villages, discovering the natural beauty of the valley and culture of ethnic minority Thai people, you will visit the Pomcoong village, Lac village, Na Phon village and Chieng Sai village village where you can see farmers in the rice fields and crafts people working on looms. After that return to homestay to help the local people prepare the evening meal, and you will join a Cooking class and enjoy the dinner at the homestay. This is an opportunity to learn about the minority groups’ cuisine and culture. In the evening, enjoy a traditional dance performance by some young local people and drink the traditional wine “Ruou can”.

Day 2: Mai Chau Discovery – Hanoi
After breakfast is served with local style noodles, eggs and toast or banana pancakes (delicious). You have 2 options:
Option 1, Easy walking: Your tour guide takes you to visit the crafts markets which sell souvenirs... traditional woven purses, bags, toys, shawls etc. much cheaper than the same things in Hanoi. After that continuing journey to visit a famous 1000-step cave which is a very beautiful cave with a lot of great stalactites and stalagmite, it has a lot of history and importance in the area. Not an easy hike but worth doing (VIEWS!!)
Option 2, Hard Trekking (10km): You will Trek to visit more remote rural villages Na Meo, Na Mo and Xam Pa villages where you can see many wonderful terrace field and daily life of local people to explore and learn more about Thai people customs. After lunch, get back to Hanoi, arrival at Hanoi around 7:30pm. The tour ends.

What days do I can go? The Trip departs everyday from Hanoi old quarter at 8.30 am. We start to pick you up from your hotel / hostel location at 7.30 am daily.
Where do I meet the tour? Tours depart from either Hanoi old quarter or your wished pick up address, please check departure location and times on the tour itinerary you are booking.
What do I eat? Our eatables is on hygienic fresh foods and our meals are nutritious and varied.
What do I need to bring? a wide-brimmed hat or a umbrella for the hot months of April to August, sunscreen (at least SPF15), a camera and lots of batteries, warm clothing for the cooler months of November to March.
How much luggage can I take? the vehicle has limited space so please just bring necessaries of you.
