The magnificent Ha Long Bay with 3000 islands and islets of pinnacle-shaped limestone had been recognized by UNESCO as a World Natural Heritage Site since 1994. Ha Long is an excellent example of a karst landscape created by a complex chain during millions of years of geological movement. The best way to appreciate this magical scene is from a boat, cruising between these karst cliffs which looms like fairy-tale castles, completed with rocky spires and hidden caves.
